I usually wear 10.5-11. 10.5 for most shoes. I find that 5 10s seem to run a tad small so I ordered 11.5. That seems to fit pretty well I could have probably done 11 and those would have fit a bit snugger but happy with mine. Looks like the bottom sole is actually sewn to the upper which is a huge plus and rare in today’s cheap junk shoe world that is mainly glued. Not a fan of glued as they come apart pretty early usually. I think there will last well. I was on the fence about buying the Freerider Pro for about the same price at the time I looked, but since the Pro looks glued for the bottom sole I decided to go with the regular Freerider. With the Fooker MTB pedals these shoes basically feel like clips - except it is much easier for me to take my feet off the pedals and catch my fall. They fit perfectly and are comfortable. You can definitely walk in them easily enough although they are clearly not designed for walking or running over biking. Hopefully the soles last much longer than my running shoes which were torn to shreds after trying to use them for months with the fooker pedals. The pins were digging into the running shoes more than I would have thought. These don't seem to have that issue at all and are also much better at actually gripping my feet. I do think it makes a difference to my biking even on relatively easy terrain. Less power is lost, I can try different uphill challenges, on the downhill my feet stay on the pedals better. For the price of these shoes you can really make a significant difference to your safety and performance in a way that a bike upgrade could never do.I switched the smooth platform pedals that came with my Trek Verve to a set with a few edges. The bottom of this shoe really sticks to the new pedal and the bottom of the shoe is firm enough. You can walk on it, but it is meant for riding. I wouldn't use it for long walks. It is well-made and comfortable. I was just using regular casual shoes, so this is a big improvement for the money.Good shoes. They are made by Addidas and it's been my experience that Addidas shoes always run a half to even a full size smaller then other shoes. Glad I accounted for this because Amazon kept recommending that I go with my regular size choice of 11. I went with 11.5 and I'm glad I did. If you want your shoes to fit you should go at least a half size larger then your normal shoe size. I see alot of reviewers have had this problem. You'd think the seller would just nip this in the bud and recommend that every buyer choose a half size larger because it's a standard thing with Addidas shoes. They all run half size too small. It's not some kind of one off or a fluke that your shoes will be small if you don't choose a half size larger. It's just the facts. It is difficult to find a cycling shoe that fits my extra wide foot. I usually wear a 4E shoe, but nobody seems to sell cycling shoes that wide. I ordered the Freeriders with low expectations of them fitting, but decided to try a pair 1/2 size larger than my usual size 7. They are a snug but not too tight fit in, which is good for cycling. I wear a thinner sock with no padding on the heel or toe and I don't get any numbness. They feel more stable than the trail shoes I was trying to use, and I feel more power gets through to the pedals. Thank you Adidas! I feel like a real cyclist now! :)Use this as my everyday driver + my mtb shoe. My one do it all shoe. Love it and has worked great for the month or so I’ve had them. Good shoeSeveral friends have also purchased a pair after I told them how comfortable this mtb shoe is when riding.Nice shoe. At first I rode 13 miles-one way. I am using these shoes in a no clip pedal. I am using a clip-less cage style. So, after 13 miles my feet felt fine. After 13 miles, my feet did begin to hurt for the next 2 miles. I took a break and had a hoagie at WAWA. I rode back for another 13 miles. My feet did begin to hurt for the remaining 2 miles. I wear an 8. I don't think I should wear a larger size. i measured my foot. So, in the end, I'd say good shoe, however my foot began to hurt after 13 miles. All flat roads, by the way. Just straight, flat driving at the farmlands in NJ. I am trying different foot positions while I ride.Great looking, rugged, bombproof, comfortable and just amazing. They stick to my pedals and when I get off my bike they are great everyday trainers. Size was spot on. I find I use them more than any other shoe and in black they are inoffensive and go with most casual clothes. Only complaint is that the stock laces are very long (caught in my pedals once or twice) but you could always swap them out.Always have been a fan of Five Ten freeride shoes.Great shoes. Perfect fit as expected. Only gripe is they are very flat inside and so I needed more arch support. - Easily fixed with an insert.Sizing is a bit small I found. That's the down side, however these are really worth the money. I did t want to buy a pair due to the cost, but got persuaded. Totally worth it! So much grip it's mental. Highly recommended!Already have a pair in black so am a fan anyway these are a good colour - I would say they are slightly lighter in colour in the flesh - also came with a set of black laces
