I ordered this for my husband for our upcoming trip to Ireland, as it's been know to constantly mist and rain there and he didn't have anything with a hood. We've both worn Columbia coats/jackets for years now...they are high quality for a reasonable price (compared to brands like Northface). I saw this exact same jacket in Dick's Sporting Goods for $80 and made him try it on in store to be sure it fit, before ordering it for a fraction of the cost on Amazon. It arrived in perfect condition and my husband is THRILLED with the length! The sleeves actually come down past his wrists and the tail of the jacket comes down past his waist.Great find!Bought this jacket for a trip to Ireland and it was great. It's lightweight so you won't get really hot wearing it on a warm rainy day but it has enough room to wear a sweater or layers under it to keep warm. It's a very thin material so if you're getting rained on it might feel like you're getting wet, but it's actually just that you can feel the coldness of the rain through the fabric, I was completely dry. I will absolutely continue to use this jacket. As far as sizing, I'm a 5'5 woman who needed something that would cover me and keep me dry. The Large/Tall fit perfectly for my needs and ended mid-thigh.The material: I was a bit skeptical when this jacket arrived. It is very thin and light. I wore it to work the next day in heavy rain, and it did not let any water in, allowed me to move freely, and the hood and sleeves are adjustable so I could tighten them up as needed. Nothing flapping around or falling off.I have bought much more expensive, heavier rain coats and they didn't work half as good as this one.Bought this for my SO. He is tall with a round belly, typical middle age guy. It is hard to find jackets that fit comfortably. If he doesn't like something that is it. Well he wore this on vacation and had nothing bad to say about it. The extra length is great as it doesn't bunch up at the waist. Good product and a great price for a well known brand. Not the company but the product is not quite what I expected. Somewhat small around the shoulders. I am a slight 6 foot 2 inch 170 pounds and it was too tight around shoulders. Another bigger problem is the material this jacket made out of. It does not breathe!!...Be careful what you wear under it because you will sweat to death if you perform any cardio activity like riding a bike. It almost feels like a rubber suit. Quality is good and maybe this is what some people want. Is an excellent wind breaker since not heat/cold can get in or out.My husband wears this all the time now, it keeps him dry, and he looks great in it. He's 6'5", 230- 240 lbs, and the Large/Tall fit just right over regular shirts/t-shirts. It is also long enough for his torso/arms. I don't think he could wear a thick sweater easily under it, so you might want to order up for that use. The material is fairly thin, but it does the job with no problem. This is a rain jacket only, and very thin. Perfect for keeping water off you if you don't need insulation. It folds up nice and small, so it's easy to pack. Grab a sweatshirt or layer underneath for added warmth.I was looking for a light weight rain jacket to take with me and this fit the bill. I am 6' 2" and the sleeves and length are perfect I am a big guy and I appreciate the extra room that Columbia builds into their products. This jacket folds up small and is easy to pack when the weather is uncertain. I am very happy with the purchase.
